Woah! I’m going to Barbados!

January 31, 2011 by KChie 2 Comments

This year I have decided to tolerate the cold and snow by enjoying it. Im taking snowboarding lessons and whilst i have fallen on my bum and gnashed my teeth more often than I can count, I’ve had fun. I’ve even indulged in bison burgers in my bid to try new things.

However, I refuse to wear 3 layers of clothing, shovel snow, or shiver on my birthday. I thought about Florida, California, and Hawaii but they just didn’t capture my interest for the amount of money I would have needed to shell out just to be bathed by the sun for a few days.

So an island vacation it had to be. But which one? I didn’t want a resort experience and I didn’t want to feel as if I was on vacation, strange enough. I just want to feel at peace in the sun. It didn’t take long to settle on Barbados. The price was just right too!

Thanks. You can find helpful information on TripAdvisor. I stayed in St. Lawrence Gap in a guesthouse.
Meridian Inn, Sun & Sea Apartments, Dover house, Rio guesthouse are examples of budget accommodations I reviewed. I don't think you will do wrong in St. Lawrence Gap area.

THE PURPLE MANGO PANDEMONIUM

A lover of mangoes. A woman - smart, without pretense, lefthanded, Afropolitan - navigating this thing called life. An unapologetic believer in social justice and karma. Choosing to radiate positive energy and be true to myself. Here, my musings.
